Composer Bruce Broughton’s 22nd Emmy Nomination

Los Angeles, CA – July 14, 2005 – Composer Bruce Broughton has been nominated for an Emmy Award for his score to the HBO Television Film Warm Springs, in the category of Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Dramatic Underscore). The nominations for the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced Thursday, July 14. The awards will be presented on Sunday, September 11, 2005 in Los Angeles, followed by a live broadcast from the Shrine Auditorium on September 18.

Warm Springs earned additional nominations in the following categories:

  • Outstanding Made for Television Movie
  • Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Joseph Sargent)
  • Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Kenneth Branagh)
  • Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Cynthia Nixon)
  • Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Jane Alexander, Kathy Bates)
  • Outstanding Art Direction for a Miniseries, or Movie
  • Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special
  • Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie
  • Outstanding Costumes for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special
  • Outstanding Hairstyling for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special
  • Outstanding Makeup for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Non-Prosthetic)
  • Outstanding Sound Editing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special
  • Outstanding Single-Camera Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Movie
  • Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special
