Three New Broughton Releases in Time for the Holidays!

From fanfare to carol to a tuba quintet, Bruce Broughton is bringing the brass in time to light up the holiday spirit.

Starting with the Falalalala Fanfare for brass ensemble, this is a brilliant one-minute show opener based on the Christmas carol, Deck the Halls. From the first notes of the trumpets to the last big brass chord, the piece is celebratory, high-spirited, and full of excitement.

Next comes Joy, an elegant blend of two favorite Christmas carols, Joy to the World and Angels We Have Heard on High. For brass ensemble and percussion, Joy is a four-minute celebration of the Holiday spirit of festivity and benevolence. Composed for The Bay Brass, California’s premier brass ensemble, for a performance in San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral, the brass and percussion bring a powerful sonority to the cheerful energy of the Christmas season.

Finally, a version of the Bruce Broughton/Dennis Spiegel song, Alone Yet Not Alone, for four F tubas and one C tuba. Arranged by Broughton for QuinTuba, a tuba quintet of five well-known professional tubaists and their album, Firm Foundation, the piece is lyrical, vibrant, and emotionally resonant.

Each of the three pieces are currently available for purchase and download at BrubelMusic.com.
